AeroSur

The Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument (CFII) programme at AeroSur is designed for qualified Flight Instructors who wish to specialize in Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) instruction. This advanced instructor programme prepares pilots to teach instrument flying, navigation, instrument procedures, and IFR operations while developing the instructional expertise required to train future instrument-rated pilots.

Conducted in accordance with DINACIA and ICAO standards, the programme equips instructors with the knowledge, teaching techniques, and operational proficiency needed to deliver high-quality instrument flight training. Instrument instructors are qualified to teach pilots how to safely operate solely by reference to flight instruments and conduct instrument procedures.

Program Overview

The AeroSur Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument (CFII) programme provides comprehensive training in both advanced instrument operations and instructional methodologies. Candidates develop the ability to teach instrument navigation, IFR flight planning, aviation meteorology, instrument approaches, departures, holding procedures, radio navigation systems, cockpit resource management, and instrument emergency procedures. Training focuses on instructional techniques, lesson planning, student evaluation, simulator instruction, and in-flight teaching under instrument conditions. Students learn how to effectively prepare pilots for Instrument Rating examinations while promoting aviation safety, operational discipline, and sound aeronautical decision-making. Upon successful completion, graduates possess the qualifications and instructional competence to deliver professional Instrument Rating training and contribute to the development of highly skilled instrument pilots.
