Program Overview

The AeroSur PPL Part 61 programme combines comprehensive ground school with practical flight instruction to develop the skills required to safely operate single-engine aircraft under Visual Flight Rules (VFR). Students learn aircraft systems, aerodynamics, aviation regulations, meteorology, navigation, flight planning, radio communication, human factors, emergency procedures, and aviation safety while progressively building confidence through dual and solo flight operations. The flexible structure of FAA Part 61 training allows students to progress according to their individual learning pace while receiving personalized instruction from qualified flight instructors. Upon successful completion, graduates possess the knowledge, flight proficiency, and aeronautical decision-making skills necessary to continue towards advanced pilot ratings and professional aviation careers.

Eligibility Requirements

Domestic Applicants: Must be at least 15 years and 9 months of age at the time of enrollment.
International Applicants: Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of enrollment, unless they hold legal residency in Uruguay.
Have successfully completed Grade 9 or an equivalent secondary education.
Possess, or be eligible to obtain, a valid DINACIA Class 2 Aviation Medical Certificate.
Demonstrate basic proficiency in English if Spanish is not their primary language.
International applicants must hold a valid passport and be eligible to obtain a Uruguayan Student Visa or other appropriate training authorization, unless they hold legal residency in Uruguay.
